In the not so distant past there was a post on gratitude. Expressing gratitude is one of the best ways to experience happiness and joy in our life so we will revisit gratitude often. Over the next week, focus on all that you have and all that went into what you have. For example, when you eat a meal, think of all that had to happen for you to be enjoying that meal at that time. The food needed to be grown, harvested (and sometimes processed), prepared and plated. There are so many people who are part of the journey of food from seed to mouth. There are also the people and systems that contribute to what happens after we consume our food. Think about washing the dishes, the waste being taken away (both trash and sewage), leaving our homes and streets clean and sanitary. We are all so fortunate to have so much. You can also think about the energy that went into the computer with which you read this print. People designed, built, shipped and sold the equipment you are using. Others still maintain the networks that allow us to communicate in this fashion. You also contributed to the energy it took to earn the money to purchase the equipment you are using. How do you think your life, or mood in particular, would change if we practiced gratitude for the many things in life we enjoy everyday? Please share below if you will.
