The earth slumbers through the winter and begins anew in the spring. We can take our cue from nature and begin anew this spring. In what ways will you choose to refresh your life? Will you start with a new haircut? How about introducing a new habit to meditate once a day? How about briefly reminiscing each day over all the joys for the day?
We humans tend to follow a pattern of getting into ruts, noticing that we are not as happy as before then look to what is wrong to make life feel better. What we focus on becomes bigger and ends up using much of our time and energy. Instead try injecting some fun into life by focusing on the joy and minimizing what is not working. Think about some of the activities that bring you joy and make time for them. Who are the people with whom you enjoy spending time? Call or text them to get together. If the people you enjoy most live under your roof, plan some quality time with them. Your time and energy will naturally be drawn to your new activities.
Before you know it, you will be happier than before because you are enjoying life in new and fun ways.
